A group of students from Sunderland University spent a morning canoodling with rescue cats and kittens at Sunderland-based charity, Animal Krackers.
The Cat Cuddling event – part of the Student Volunteering Week project – aims to help socialise cats to better their chances of finding forever homes.
Rebecca Little, Student Union Activities and Opportunities Officer, said: “At the students’ Union we want to help students interact with the wider community. The students were able to support the rehoming of cats in the area, whilst meeting like-minded people and having fun!”
