A pop-up food waste cafe has successfully crowdfunded to open a permanent space in Newcastle. The exact location will be decided in the new year.
The Magic Hat Cafe serves food that was destined for landfill, from supermarkets, restaurants and farms, on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis. They have raised over £20,000 to keep fighting food waste and feeding the community.
