The NS pantomime organisation has released a statement to confirm that the pantomime, which includes the actor Adam Thomas, will still continue as promised. The statement said: “Decision to continue the pantomime run of Jack and The Bean Stalk without North-East actress Denise Welch”.

Denise Welch, known best for appearing on television shows Loose Women and Waterloo, will not play the ‘mother nature’ role in the pantomime, due to the bad organisation and staff were not getting paid.

The NS pantomime organisation has confirmed that a replacement will take over in Denise’s original position. They stated: “For the remainder of the run, an understudy will take place for the role of Mother Nature”.

The first performance began on December 13 and will run for three weeks outside the Life Centre, Newcastle.

Tickets for the pantomime are still available to buy for dates in December, currently sold on the Times-square Newcastle website.
