Bradley Lowery’s life will be celebrated at his funeral on Friday in his home village of Blackhall, in County Durham.

The service will be on July 14 at 11.15am at St Josephs R.C Church in Blackhall, County Durham, the Lowery family have confirmed.

The youngster who was a keen Sunderland AFC fan, died following a long fight with neuroblastoma on Friday, July 7.

The family released the details of the service via a statement on the Bradley Lowery’s Fight Against Neuroblastoma page.

The post said:

“This is open to everyone who would like to come and celebrate Bradley’s life and pay their respects to show him how much he was loved.

“Not everyone will fit in the church but they are having speakers for people to listen to the service outside and people can line the streets if they wish to do so.

“They will then be having invite only private ceremony at a crematorium.

“The family have requested for no media to be there unless they are not working and attending to pay their respects.”

The funeral will have the theme “cancer has no colours,” meaning friends and family of Bradley will be wearing football tops.

Members of the public who wish to attend are also being encouraged to wear football tops – no matter “what team or colour.”

A donation to the Bradley Lowery Foundation can be made, as the family have requested they would like family flowers only.

The foundation will support other families affected by childhood cancer.
