Two children injured in hit and run collision in Sunderland

Crime policeTwo teenagers have been injured during a hit and run Collision in Sunderland.

The collision happened at 8.20am on Friday May 27 on Gorse Road in the Ashbrooke area of the city.

The pedestrians, a boy and girl both aged 13, were hit by a black vehicle similar to a Peugeot 207.

The girl suffered considerable bruising while the boy suffered a hairline fracture to his foot.

The driver drove off without stopping, she is described as white female with blonde hair in her late 20s.

There was also a black male in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

Officers are carrying out enquiries in the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
