Ryhope schoolboy sets up own entertainment business at only 15

Inspired by entertainment teams at Haven Holidays, 15-year-old Cameron Finn has been passionate to build his business ever since he started going to the Haven resorts with his parents.

With the help of friends and family, the schoolboy’s business, Cam’s Mascots, was first set up in 2013.

Cam’s Mascots hold events which include singing, dancing and greetings from the mascots. The schoolboy already owns Mickey and Minnie Mouse mascots and plans to build up his collection in the future.

Cameron said: “I wanted to entertain people, I set it all up, got mascots and then started getting bookings.”

After overcoming the hurdle of being accused of plagiarising a company’s name, he explained that setting the business up was an easy process for him.

Cameron’s Mother, Yvonne Finn, said: “He’s absolutely brilliant, he’s just got ideas that we would never think of.”

His mother explains that he has always been the creative one of the family.

Attending drama and musical theatre classes at the Empire Theatre, Cameron hopes to take his love of entertainment to pursue a career in London one day.

Cam’s Mascots take bookings, and more information can be found on the Cam’s Mascots Facebook page.
