Police have appealed for information following an incident in South Shields last month.

Between 9pm and 9:15pm on Tuesday, March 1, a man threatened another man and shouted offensive language at a woman outside the McDonalds on King Street.

Officers are keen to trace a man who was in the area at the time of the incident and who may be able to help them with their ongoing enquiries.

The man is described as having dark blonde hair and was wearing beige trousers, a black and grey jumper and black trainers with white laces.

Officers are appealing for this man, and anyone who recognises the description, or anyone who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101.
