Northumbria Police are appealing for help to find a missing Newcastle man who was last seen in Sunderland.
Stephen Smiles, 49, has been missing since he left his home in Newcastle today at 8.30am, and was last spotted in Sunderland.
Police are concerned for his welfare.
He is described as a white man, 5ft 8in tall, heavy build, with brown hair in a crew cut.
He was wearing a black waterproof coat, a navy hoodie, dark blue jeans and black shoes, and is believed to be driving a black Ford Transit van with a registration of ND04 ZGH.
Police are concerned for his welfare and are carrying out enquiries to locate Mr Smiles.
Officers are appealing for Stephen to make contact with them, or anyone who recognises him to call police straightaway.
