Newcastle Central Metro Station will be closed for three days following a major refurbishment work.
From 8.00pm tonight (Thursday, March 10), the Central Station will be closed until start of service on Monday, March 14.
During the closure trains will not stop at Central Station.

Nexus advise commuters who would normally travel from or to Central Station use Monument station.
And if travellers are unable to get to or from Monument station, they are also advised to speak to a member of staff.
Metro apologise for any inconvenience.
