Butcher’s Arms: An insight into the oldest pub in Sunderland

The Butcher’s Arms, on High Street East, is the oldest pub in Sunderland and part of the Sunderland Heritage Trail.

The building itself dates back to 1724, with licensing records for the premises dating back to 1753.
