Appeal after man exposes himself to two teenagers in Washington

Northumbria Police are appealing for information after an indecent exposure incident in Washington.

It happened at about 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday, January 28) in Biddick Lane, in Columbia, Washington, where a man exposed himself to two teenagers while they were in the subway.

The man is described as around 40 to 50 years old, bald and was wearing a grey hooded top and jeans.

Extra officers will be in the area to reassure the public.

Neighbourhood Inspector Steve Pescod said: “The incident happened near to the school and we know parents will be concerned.

“We are speaking to the school to offer suitable advice and will have extra officers in the area this afternoon and into the early evening.”
