How Wearside charity supported pandemic domestic abuse victims

DOMESTIC abuse across the UK rose by 7% during the first lockdown period of the pandemic from March 2020, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Wearside Women in Need (WWIN) are a domestic abuse charity offering victims and survivors support across Wearside.

WWIN outreach worker Tia Sekhon tells SR News how they have been giving support during the pandemic.
