Statue restored atop of Sunderland Empire Theatre

The Empire Theatre has been brought back to life with the restored metallic statue being placed back on its podium.

The statue called Terpsichore stood atop theatre since 1907. However in January 2015, the high winds caused the statue to topple over. It has since for the past year been stuck in repair.

Now nearly two years later, it has finally been placed back where it first sat. Sporting a much cleaner and sleeker look, this new statue should last another 100 years.
