Nigel Farage has resigned as leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP).
Mr Farage has stepped down following last month’s vote to leave the European Union saying he had achieved the aim for which he came into politics.
In a speech he said his main goal in politics was to get the UK to leave the EU, and now the country has voted for that, he will step down.
Mr Farage has quit once before, but he insists this time it’s for good.
More to follow.
