Young Black Cats can enjoy a special summer treat next month when the annual Sunderland AFC Family Fun Day returns to the Stadium of Light.
Fans both young and old can join club mascots Samson and Delilah as the Stadium of Light is transformed into a fun size fairground, from dodgems to duck ‘n’ dive and balloon artists to bouncy castles, there will be entertainment for the whole family.
As well as as the fairground classics, visitors will also be wowed by the gifted magician, have the chance to meet their favourite princesses and pick up some skills from a professional football freestyler.
There will as always be plenty of football activities too, hosted by the Foundation of Light’s top coaches, this includes little dribblers, the speed cage, small sided games and skills and drills, with the chance to win some top prizes.
Visitors can also see behind the scenes at the Stadium of Light in a special stadium tour, with the chance to walk out of the tunnel like a real Black Cat and sit in the head coach’s dug out.
The event will kick off at 1.30pm on Saturday 2 July and after the success of previous Junior Black Cats sell-out events, demand for tickets is high.
Tickets for the day are on sale now priced at just £7.50 per person and can be purchased in person at the Stadium of Light ticket office or by calling 0871 911 1973.
Parents and guardians can sign up young fans aged 16 and under to Sunderland AFC’s junior supporters club, the Junior Black Cats, for free at www.safc.com/juniorblackcats.
Members can keep up to date with Samson and Delilah’s latest events and also have the opportunity to be chosen as a match day mascot.
