Fire Crews from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service are dealing with a fire on Newcastle’s Swing Bridge.
Smoke can be seen billowing from the pontoon at the centre of the Swing Bridge, used by thousands of drivers each week, connecting Newcastle to Gateshead.
In a statement made from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service Twitter account, they confirmed three pumps, a fireboat and two Operational Support Units were in attendance.
