A man who was on the other side of the Wearmouth Bridge railings in Sunderland has been rescued and is now receiving help, Northumbria Police have reported.
Emergency services were called to the Wearmouth Bridge earlier this evening after receiving reports of a man being on the wrong side of the railings.
Update to the incident on the Wearmouth Bridge in #Sunderland. The man is now down from the bridge & is receiving help from the Triage team.
