England has highest student debt

University students across the UK experience greater debt compared to their counterparts in the US, Australia and Canada.

The average student debt ranges between approximately £15,000 to £30,000 compared to the likes of the US, where student debt falls between £20,500 for public universities and £22,000 for private universities.

We sat down with current lecturer at the University of Sunderland and former student, Jay Sykes, to discuss his opinion on student loans and his experiences at university.
