Police have appealed for information after a man was stabbed in West Denton, Newcastle.
A 29-year-old man was stabbed in the toilets of The West Denton Social Club at 6:23pm yesterday evening.
The man was taken to hospital for a cut to his head but has since been discharged.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and is currently in police custody.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers believe the attack may have happened when a group of five men and the victim went into the toilets of the club at around 6:15pm.
Anyone who was in the club at the time of the incident and who has any information is asked to contact police on 101.
