Beamish Museum in County Durham celebrated International Women’s Day (March 8) by hosting a suffragette rally to commemorate the stands that took place in the early 1900’s.
The rally took place in the 1900s town centre, which demonstrated townswomen fight for the right to vote.
Beamish Museum workers, in full character and dress, stood as townsfolk who argued against women’s rights – as was the case, back in the day.
