Construction work goes ahead on Seaburn Sea front Stack

The development of a new 2.5 Million pound restaurant and entertainment complex is under way on Seaburn Seafront.

Work has begun to create a number of eateries and bars which will be housed in shipping containers opposite theĀ Morrisons in Seaburn.

The project which will see 87 shipping container erected on the seafront is part of a wider regeneration scheme to develop the seafront area, which first begun back in 2010.

Sunderland City Council hope it will bring more visitors down to the area, promote local businesses, and provide more local jobs.

Food chains such as Yolo and Boojie burger are set to be amongst the new restaurant to open.
