Violence and sexual offences are the most-reported crimes in Sunderland Central over the past year.
Statistics from police.uk show that between July 2017 and July 2018, these types of crimes occurred more than any other category in 11 months out of the 12 investigated.
On average in the SR1 postcode, there were 174 reports of offences of this kind, per month.
The statistics show that violence and sexual offences were reported most in the month of January 2018, with the least amount of reports being filed in December 2017.
Statistics also show that the second most common crime reported over the past year is antisocial behaviour, with public order offences the third most frequently reported.
