Sunderland’s Station Taxis has been offering people in the city the opportunity to become part of a new singalong series with its drivers.
Hundreds of people have already replied to a video posted on Facebook appealing for singers to get in touch with the taxi company.
The first in a series of videos features Sunderland pop-rock band Fire Lady Luck. Further videos are due to be released over the next month featuring local celebrities like Katy Bulmer-Cooke and Mimic Men’s Carl Halbert.
Inspired by the celebrity karaoke series on James Corden’s Late Late show in America, Sunderland’s largest taxi firm, gave customers the opportunity to star in Cabpool Karaoke.
The first video has been watched more than 20k views.
