Pandemic may be creating a bonus for North East house-sellers

THE pandemic is creating many unwelcome things in our lives – but there are signs it may actually be a financial bonus for house-sellers in the North East.

According to consumer website Which there was a small regional housing boom towards the end of last year, with 115,190 property sales completing in November 2020, 19% up on last year, and the average house price now stands at £195,211, up by more than 5% over 2020.

But it’s not necessarily as rosy for house-buyers, as Alethea Farline finds out…
