Good news for craft beer enthusiastics as pop-up cafe brings Belgian beer culture to Newcastle’s Pink Lane.

Mick Potts, a local pub landlord, is looking to bring continental beer culture to the people of Tyneside.

His pop-up beer cafe, Lanterne Rouge, runs Thursday-Saturday, 7pm-late, from the Pink Lane coffee shop, opposite Central Station in Newcastle city centre.

This is the second time the pop-up has been in Newcastle. Last year it had a successful run at Flat Caps Coffee.

Potts, who runs the iconic Free Trade Inn, spoke to SRNews about the project, what inspired him to start it, and the rare and special beers on offer.

The pop-up is on until December 23- so get in quick.
