Sunderland event raises over £2,000 for Bradley Lowery

‘A night for Bradley’ took place at The Point in Sunderland on April 29 to help raise vital funds for Bradley Lowery and his fight against neuroblastoma.

The night was a fun-filled event with magicians, tombola and even the X Factor’s ‘He Knows She Knows’ as headline act.

Adele Pallas, Deana Pearn, Julie Dransfield and Paula Listfield wanted to organise the event to raise more awareness of Bradley’s appeal.

They have previously shown their support to Bradley by participating in a sponsored walk.

Adele, one of the Event Organisors, said: “Bradley has touched people’s hearts across the world with his bravery and courage while he’s fighting neuroblastoma and raising awareness of this disease.

“As parents, some of us have children the same age as Bradley, and we just wanted to do it to say we’ve done our bit to help this little boy.”

She also expressed her gratitude to Andrew Golding who is Managing Director of The Point: “We couldn’t have made the night as fantastic as it was without the help and support of Andrew Golding.

“He has been amazing and put in just as much work as us.”

The event raised £2988.64 and Lloyd’s Bank Peterlee have agreed to give an extra £2000 to make the grand total £4,988.64.

Bradley Lowery, 5 years of age, has been battling with neuroblastoma since he was diagnosed in 2013. Events have been held nationwide to help raise vital funds for his treatment.
