Over recent years the ‘micro pub’, a very small one-roomed pub, has grown in popularity. Just 15 weeks ago, The Dog and Rabbit opened in North Tyneside.
However, The Dog and Rabbit, of Whitley Bay, isn’t just a micro pub, in fact they are a brewery as well, making their own product to sell in the pub and currently working on refurbishment work in order to brew on site in Whitley Bay.
Tony Patton, the owner and brewer at The Dog and the Rabbit, talks about the business and how refurbishment work will change their micro-pub alongside Hazel Ormiston, a resident of Whitley Bay and visitor to the pub.
