Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery at a fish shop in Gateshead.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, April 5, a man entered Rob’s Fish Bar in Morley Terrace in Felling threatening staff with a knife and demanding they hand over money.
The staff refused and the man fled the shop empty handed.
The offender is described as being around 6ft tall, of thin build and was wearing a ‘scream style’ face mask.
He had a dark coloured hooded top on and grey tracksuit bottoms and gloves.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 5 06/04/16.
