Police investigating an attack in Sunderland that saw a man suffer (pictured) a serious slash wound on his face have arrested a man.
On Saturday, April 2, 28-year-old Liam Newby (pictured) was attacked with a knife in Town End Farm after being approached by three men.
He sustained a serious facial injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released on police bail.
