Images released after Metro staff member threatened

Police have released images of two men they would like to speak to after an incident at a Metro station.

Between 8.10pm and 8.20pm on Friday, March 18, a 44-year-old Metro staff member was threatened by two men at Gateshead International Stadium station.

The men threw bricks at the customer service desk before leaving the station. The male staff member was not injured during the incident.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries into the incident and have now released images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

They were in the area at the time and may be able to help police with their enquiries.

The men, or anyone who may know their identity, should contact police on 101 quoting reference 1125 18/03/16.
