Police are appealing for help to locate the victim of a possible robbery in Newcastle.

At 9:51am on Sunday morning, April 3, police received a call from security staff at the Sainsbury’s store in Falconar Street that a man had just been robbed and had come into the store for help.

The man, who said he was called Jordan, told security staff at the store that he had got off the Metro and had been approached by two men and punched while crossing the footbridge over the Central Motorway from New Bridge Street towards Manors Metro station.

Although he did not seem injured he did say the men stole £20 from him.

Before officers could attend the store and speak to the victim, he had left without giving his name or contact details to the security staff.

Police are appealing for this man to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 359 030416.

Anyone who might have been in the area on Sunday morning and witnessed the incident is also asked to get in touch.
