New alternative destination for the winter holidays has been added to Newcastle International Airport.
With winter and New Year’s Eve packages, New York has become a popular destination for UK travellers.
Due to huge demand from previous years, this year the company is adding an extra trips and hotels to choose from.
A celebratory SIX trips are available this year direct from Newcastle Airport, plus all breaks have been extended to four-nights, with even more iconic three, four and five star hotels.
Leader of Newcastle City Council Nick Forbes commented about what would be the impact on the economics of the region.
He said: “It’s great news that Jet2 are now offering low costs flights from Newcastle to New York.
“It will be a great opportunity for a winter visit to the Big Apple and is another sign of Newcastle Airport’s growing significance as a regional transport hub. Alongside the regular United Airline flights, this makes cross Atlantic travel easier and more convenient for businesses and holidaymakers alike.”
