Three charged after Newcastle student was robbed at knifepoint

Three men have been charged after a student was robbed in Newcastle city centre.

At around 1:40am on Tuesday, January 26, a 19-year-old man was walking in the underpass near Windsor place after leaving Robinson library.

He was then approached by a group of men and threatened with a knife.

The offenders walked him to the cash point at Haymarket metro station, where they robbed him.

Three men have been charged with robbery following the police investigation in the case.
