Superstar DJ Steve Aoki’s performance in Newcastle is still going on despite being cancelled in Birmingham on Valentine’s Day.
The midlands show was cancelled on Valentine’s Day for unspecific reasons.
A spokesperson from O2 Academy Birmingham said: “The promoters cancelled the event it wasn’t us. The event will still be going on in Newcastle.”
Set your alarm for 6pm on Saturday and head to O2 Academy for Steve Aoki’s live performance.
The American award-winning DJ is now back in Newcastle to perform his newest album “NEON III”.
This time one of the most prolific DJs will be collaborating with the South Korean supergroup BTS, Blink-182 and Lady Antebellum.
The EDM model announced in October, last year, that he will return to the UK for memorable tour in 2019. He will be performing in cities such as London, Cardiff, Manchester, Brighton and Leeds.
So, here we are in Newcastle and fans are looking forward.
Steven Callender, 26, said: “I am a huge fan of Aoki’s work. I have been waiting for this event for so long. I bought a ticket on the very first day when they were released.”
“I still remember when I went for a first time on his concert in July,2018 in Belgium. It was something that I will always remember. I am excited and I am looking forward for tomorrow night.”
Neon III was released on November 9, 2018 as the third chapter of Aoki’s Neon Future albums, containing 17 songs.
The artist was already remixed BTS’s song “Mic Drop” in 2017 and last year’s “Love Yourself”. “Waste It On Me” which is the newest song between the supergroup and will be the standout track this weekend.
It is the DJ’s first time being in the party capital and tickets are running out very quickly. Steve Aoki was considered as one of the world’s highest-paid DJs for 2018 ($29.5 million).
The gig launches Saturday night and doors open at 6pm.
