Sunderland Christmas lights get turned on tonight at 6.30pm in Keel Square. X-factor 2014 Andrea Faustini will be turning the lights on.

Newcastle lights will get turned on on November 19. It will start at 4pm and run until 8pm, with the lights getting switched at 6.30pm at Grey’s Monument, in Eldon Square shopping centre. This year the lights will have different decorations than last year and Christmas songs will be playing all day long.
Durham lights will get switch on on November 22 at 4pm in Market Place. This year Durham’s Christmas lights will be even better than last year’s because there will be more Disney characters who will try to entertain people with dancing and singing.

Gateshead lights have already been switched on in Trinity Square. This year Cinderella and Nice Swans pantomime will take part to entertain the little ones and late night shoppers.
South Shields Christmas lights get switched on on November 23 at 5:30pm. They are placed in the junction of King Street and Ocean Road. The band S Club 7 will be turning the lights on and there will also be a firework display.
