The National Glass Centre has announced details of a range of exclusive activities that will be held in the run up to Mother’s Day.
The activities will begin this month. Visitors now have the chance to create a flower shaped glass paperweight in specially arranged workshops.
They can either be created with mothers present or can be created ahead of Mother’s Day and used as a gift.
This experience is set to take place over the first two weekends in March and are priced at £45 per person.
There will also be an experience for children in which they have the chance to decorate a vase as a Mother’s day gift. This will take place on March 14 and 15.
The Glass Centre will also be serving Mother’s Day lunch on March 15, where all mums will receive a free gift. Three courses will be £18.50 while two courses are £14.50.
Sara Jo Harrison, who works in marketing at the Glass Centre, said: “I think it is important that we celebrate Mother’s Day as it’s important to spend time with your mum and show her how much you care. Our Mother’s Day paperweights are great because you get the chance to do something unique with her and create something together that you can both keep.
“We do events like this during Valentine’s Day when visitors can make a heart-shaped trinket dish and our most popular one is our Christmas Bauble workshops – we sell over 1000 of these experiences every year.”
Gift vouchers for these experiences are now available from the gift shop at the Glass Centre. There is also a voucher available for mothers to have afternoon tea on Sundays.
Anyone who would like to book an experience or make any enquiries can contact the National Glass Centre on 0191 515 5555.
