Sunderland Literature Festival starts today


Events organised by libraries in Sunderland starts today (October 6).

Libraries in Sunderland are running a series of events, with a range of different hosts talking to the people of Sunderland.

Sports writer Harry Pearson will be talking about his career at the City Library today (October 6), while Author Carol Clewlow will read her work at Bar Justice on Wednesday, October 8.

October 9 sees Karen Charlton talk about her novels and the route to go down in order to get yourself published at Washington Library.

 The final event is poet Harry Burke, who will host a special young people’s poetry and writing workshop at City Library on October 25.
