Police are becoming increasingly concerned for missing Sunderland man Robert Hutchinson – two weeks after he was last seen.
56-year-old Robert was last seen on Monday, June 23, in Hendon. He was reported missing on Thursday, June 26.
Extensive enquiries have been carried out to located him, including an appeal from his daughter, Paula.
CCTV has identified him at Asda petrol station in Leechmere at 4.20pm on June 23 where he was seen putting fuel into a blue Nissan Micra registration number LT03 0ZJ.
He is described as white 5ft 9 inches tall, of stocky build and with grey short hair. He was last seen wearing knee length shorts and a short sleeved checked shirt. He has an ear piercing in his left ear.
Chief Inspector Jerry Pearson, of Sunderland Area Command, said: “It is now two weeks since Robert was seen, it is completely out of character for him to go missing and not to make contact with his family for so long and we are becoming increasingly concerned for him.
“It maybe that someone who saw him before he went missing can give us vital information that could lead us to finding him, I’d ask people to think back and remember whether or not they have had any contact with Robert in the past few weeks.
“Any members of the local community in and around Hendon or anyone who knows him and that has seen him or has any information about where he might be, is urged to come forward so his family can be reassured he is safe and well.”
Robert, or anyone who has seen him or has information about where he is, is urged to get in contact with police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 410 26/06/14.
