VIDEO: Duchess of Northumberland visits National Glass Centre

The Duchess of Northumberland visited the National Glass centre today (Wednesday 9 April) to blow her own glass bauble, launching an exciting new project between the Centre and The Alnwick Garden.

The bauble The Duchess blew will be the first bauble of a major glass artwork in the shape of a Christmas tree to be installed at The Alnwick Garden in October 2014.

The Glass in the Garden project sees National Glass Centre and The Alnwick Garden recruit 1000 participants between July 21 and August 31, to blow the 1000 baubles required to create their impressive glass Christmas tree, in time for the installation in October 2014.
