Police search for owners as stolen bike and bowl recovered in Hendon


Police are trying to find the owners of stolen property found during a house search in Hendon.

Officers believe that a blue bowl with a painted fruit pattern and a grey Genesis bike which they discovered at a house in Malings Close may have been stolen.

Northumbria Police have confirmed that other stolen items had also been found, and that two men aged 42 and 41 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.


The raid was part of Northumbria Police’s ‘Operation Soundwave’, which targets people who are suspected of being involved in theft or burglary.

Anyone who recognises the bowl or the bike are asked to contact police on 101 ext. 69191 and quote reference 483 23/02/14
