Sunderland Minster will be taking part in a nationwide attempt to set a world record for couples renewing their vows as part of Marriage Week.
The minster is the only church to take part in the region.
An organisation that promotes the celebrating, supporting and strengthening of marriages, called The Big Promise, organised this world record try.
To take part, couples will need to bring their wedding certificate and a form of photo ID.
The event will involve couples reaffirming their vows and they will then enjoy an afternoon of tea and celebration of their marriage.
The event will be held on Saturday February 8 at 5pm.
